What Does NEOPA Do For Me?

Everyday your NEOPA leadership teams work had to make your jobs better. In addition to the member benefits these are some of the ongoing items that are routinely addressed:

  • Represent all members and address concerns and challenges concerning their job responsibilites and expectations, work site, staff conflict and more.
  • Ensure contract provisions are being adhered to 
  • Job reclassification
  • Job Description review and classification
  • Attend and contribute to NSD labor management meetings on a monthly basis
  • Develop professional development opportunites and inservices
  • Negotiate contract provisions with NSD leadership including wages and working conditions
  • Meet with NSD Superintendent and other senior leadership 
  • Work closely with NSD Human Resources Director
  • Interview and potentially endorse school board candidates
  • Support members through a grievance or official complaint
  • Member outreach 
  • Maintenance of NEOPA toolbox
  • Maintenance of NEOPA website
  • Schedule and plan general memberhship meetings
  • Maintain NEOPA budget
  • New hire orientations
  • Attend the Washington Educational Association Representative Assembly
